THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS ARE CANDIDATED TO BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE “FESTIVAL DELLA CREATIVITÀ ITALIANA A BOSTON.” THEY REPRESENT SOME OF THE OPTIONS IN MUSIC, CINEMA, THEATER, SCIENCE AND LANGUAGE, PART OF THE EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAM.

IN THE EXPO AREA THERE WILL BE THE POSSIBILITY TO ACCOMMODATE FOOD & WINE (CASH AND CARRY), DESIGN, FASHION, WELLNESS PRODUCTS, AND BEYOND.

MUSICAL PROJECTS

1 a JAZZ & OPERA

VA PENSIERO: Jazz interpretation of operatic pieces A great project that combines the Italian tradition with the American sound.

Budget: $60,000

In collaboration with Global Jazz Institute di Berklee College of Music

1 b VOCI IN BARCACCIA LAB

Project in collaboration with a famed storyteller Voci in Barcaccia LAB broadcast (RAI 3 Music).

Budget: $60,000 (3 days)

In collaboration with Boston Conservatory

PROJECT 2 COLLOQUIA for the Next Millennium

Colloquia is a prestigious series inspired by Italo Calvino’s “American Lessons”. Each event takes place in collaboration with a university divided into one or more sessions lasting approximately 2 hours, typically in the late afternoon or Saturday morning.

Each event includes the participation of two Italian speakers (one resident in Italy and one in the United States, the latter coordinator and co-organizer of the seminar together with the seminar manager), and an American counterpart.

Budget: each event $15,000

2b LIGHTNESS Space: manned space program to the Moon and Mars, access to space, satellite constellations, Earth observation from space, space telecommunications, space navigation serving citizens
2c VISIBILITY Biology and health sciences: digital solutions against pandemics, personalized medicine, innovative diagnostic solutions, development of surgical approaches and innovative clinical treatments
2d QUICKNESS Green Engineering: advanced manufacturing, robotics, and sustainable mobility
2e MULTIPLICITY Challenges for the future of the world in a divided geopolitical scenario, new policies for the planet and its inhabitants “
2f COHERENCE Towards new lifestyles in smart cities and other environments, Food, nutrition, sport and fitness.

Screening and interview with an acclaimed living Italian director.

Budget: $15,000

4b HOMAGE to an ITALIAN MASTERPIECE. Theatrical production inspired by an Italian masterpiece.
4c LE MASCHERE ITALIANE. Dedicated to children and teenagers, a project about the Italian masks: discover Italy through the lens of unique and distinct regional characters.
4f “La COMMEDIA DELL’ARTE” – Theater workshop. (max 20 active participants + the audience)
4g. “DANCE WORKSHOP” -Southern Italian folk dances. Dance lesson with the general public.

Experience the exhibitions, Italian lessons, and more to excite and promote Italian Language and Culture in the K-12 students and beyond. In collaboration with the Italian Language Department at the Consulate General of Italy in Boston.

Budget: $30,000 (invited 87 Departments of Italian Studies/Schools)

PROJECT 6 IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

Budget: $50,000

A multimedia immersive exhibition designed to tell Leonardo da Vinci’s genius, his art, and the applications of his intelligence. A Renaissance icon, explained through a sensory itinerary created specifically to live and feel his art through 360° projections and HD videos, in virtual reality.

Financing this concept includes the entire “Italia” sponsorship level
